What it costs

All prices in US dollars · Last changed 20 September 2026

Most of MyFlightHelper is free and always will be, because most of it costs nothing to run. Three things do cost real money every time they are used — transcription, reading a meter from a photograph, and drafting a checklist section — and those are what a subscription pays for.

Every figure we charge against is on this page, written out in full.

Free, for everyone

You need an account, because paid features are charged to one — but a free account is a real account, not a countdown.

Premium

 PriceRecording included
Free trial — 7 days, cancel any time $0.00 1 hour
Monthly $8.99 per month 8 hours per month
Yearly $79.00 per year 96 hours per year

The yearly plan is $79.00 against $107.88 for twelve months bought one at a time, and includes the same 8 hours a month, granted as 96 at the start of the year.

Premium adds live transcription with playback of any line as it was said, reading a Hobbs or tach meter from a photograph, drafting checklist sections, searching for an airport by identifier and pinning it, and full detail for every airport around you rather than only the nearest.

One unit: a minute

There is no second currency to learn. Everything paid is priced in minutes of recording, and they all come out of the same balance. The app and your ledger call this a credit; a credit is one minute.

What you doWhat it spends
Recording and transcribing, per minute 1 minute
Reading a Hobbs or tach meter from a photograph 3 minutes
Drafting a checklist — charged for what it produces 4 to 40 minutes
Reading one attached page, when you draft from a photo or PDF 0.7 minutes

So a monthly subscription's 8 hours is 480 minutes: about eight hours of flying with the transcript running, or 160 gauge reads, or roughly 40 typical checklist drafts, or any mixture of the three.

These are the prices charged at the moment you use a feature, which means a change to them applies inside a period you have already paid for. Credits already spent are never recalculated and your balance is never reduced by a change — but the same activity can cost more, or less, than it did last month. See section 8 of the terms, which says exactly what can change and when.

Running out, and adding more

Included hours are granted in one lump when a period begins and expire at the end of it. They do not roll over. Top-up hours are bought once and never expire while the account exists.

Top-upPricePer hour
5 hours$6.00$1.20
10 hours$10.00$1.00
25 hours$22.00$0.88

Included hours are always spent first, deliberately: the hours you paid extra for should not be the ones you lose at the end of the month.

Running out does not lock you out. Everything in the free list keeps working with a balance of zero — the airport you are nearest to, your checklists, your notes, your files, your backup.

Every charge is itemised

The app's Plan section shows your balance and, under Activity, the full history of the account: each grant, each payment with the amount, and each charge with what it was for and what it spent, to a fraction of a minute. Nothing is summarised away and nothing is deleted — a correction is written as a further entry rather than by editing an old one.

If a paid feature fails and takes credits with it, those credits are put back. That is a billing error being corrected; you do not have to ask.

Where you subscribe

Inside the app, and only there. Open the app, sign in, then open Settings → Plan → Subscribe. The same button appears on the panel that comes up when you reach a premium feature. Plan is also where you add hours, see what you have left, or cancel.

There is no checkout button on this page on purpose. Buying from inside the app means the payment is tied to your account from the start, so what you buy reaches the right account without you typing an email address a second time.

Payment is handled by Paddle, who are the merchant of record: they sell to you, take the payment, and account for any sales tax or VAT due where you are. Cards, PayPal and the usual wallets.

On your card statement the charge appears as LOGOSLEGA — our name shortened to the length a card network allows. If you are trying to place an unfamiliar charge, that is the one. Paying by PayPal or a wallet may show it differently, depending on who you pay through.

Cancelling and refunds

Try it free for 7 days first. The trial includes an hour of recording — enough to fly with it and decide — and costs nothing if you cancel before it ends.

After the trial, all sales are final. That is the other side of the same bargain: the trial is there so the decision is made before any money moves. Cancelling stops the next renewal, and the period you have already paid for runs to its end rather than being cut short.

Credits lost to a feature that failed are always put back — that is a billing correction, not a refund, and it does not depend on this policy. The full wording is the refund policy in the terms.

Tax

The prices above are what we set. Paddle adds any sales tax, VAT or GST due where you are and shows the total in the checkout before you pay, so the figure on your statement may be higher than the one on this page. That is not a fee from us and none of it comes to us.

Prices can change. A subscription price never changes for a period already paid for — a new price applies from your next renewal, and Paddle tells you before it is taken. The per-feature figures above are read at the moment you use a feature. Section 8 of the terms is the binding version of all of this.
