Terms of Use

Version 1.4 · Effective 19 September 2026

Advisory use only. Not for navigation. MyFlightHelper is not a certified aviation product, has not been approved by the FAA or any other authority, and must never be used as a primary source for navigation, weather, terrain, traffic or aircraft procedures. Official charts, an official weather briefing, the aircraft's POH or AFM, and ATC instructions always take precedence. The pilot in command is solely responsible for the safe conduct of every flight.

These terms govern your use of the MyFlightHelper application and this site, published and operated by Logos Legacy Venture LLC, a limited liability company registered in Missouri, United States ("we", "us"). Using the app means you accept them. Most of it is free to use, some features are part of a premium subscription (section 8), and nothing here creates an obligation to support, maintain or continue any of it.

Your agreement is with Logos Legacy Venture LLC and with no individual. Nothing in these terms, on the site, or in the app creates any personal obligation or liability on the part of any member, manager, officer or contractor of the company.

1. What this app is

MyFlightHelper is a situational-awareness and record-keeping aid with five screens:

It is a convenience layer over public data and over your own records. It is not an EFB, not a navigation system, not a maintenance-tracking system, and not a substitute for anything in your aircraft or in your flight bag.

2. Accuracy, and the limits of it

Data comes from third parties and is passed through substantially as received. Each source has known limitations you should understand:

3. Checklists are yours, and so is the responsibility for them

No procedure ships with this app. Creating a checklist gives you section names and nothing else, because a plausible-looking checklist for the wrong aeroplane is more dangerous than an empty screen.

Every checklist in the app is one you authored or accepted. You are responsible for its content, its order, its completeness and its suitability for the aircraft you are flying. The manufacturer's POH or AFM, and any supplement to it, is the authority. A checklist in this app is a convenience for following one, not a replacement for it, and the app may fail, crash, lose power or be uninstalled at any moment — carry the real thing.

4. AI-drafted checklists

The app can ask a third-party model (OpenAI) to draft checklist sections from a description you write. This exists to save typing and for no other reason.

5. Meter readings

Photographs of Hobbs and tach meters may be read automatically by a third-party model. A reading can be confidently wrong, and these figures end up on invoices and drive maintenance intervals.

Every figure stays editable, the app shows what was read and what you corrected, and an uncertain reading is offered rather than accepted. Verify every figure against the meter itself. The log is a personal convenience and is not an aircraft maintenance record, a tech log, or evidence of anything for any regulatory or commercial purpose.

6. Recording, and your responsibility for it

The app records audio from your intercom, microphone or device. That includes everyone on the intercom and everyone transmitting on frequency.

Recording laws vary by jurisdiction. Several US states and many countries require the consent of every person recorded. You are responsible for knowing and following the law where you fly, and for telling the people on board that recording is taking place. We provide a tool; how you use it is your decision and your liability.

7. Your account

An account is required to use the app at all, free or paid. Signing in is done once with Google or Microsoft; the session is then held on the device and the app works offline until it expires. An account exists for two reasons: transcription, gauge reading and checklist drafting are billed per use and have to be metered against somebody, and it is what allows a backup to be written to your own Drive rather than to ours. You must give accurate information when signing in, keep your device secure, and not share your account.

Requests are rate-limited. Automating the app, reselling access to it, or attempting to extract the third-party credentials it is built to protect will end the account.

We may suspend an account that is abusing a paid feature or costing more than it is plausibly using. Suspension stops the paid features; your own data stays on your device either way, because that is where it lives.

8. Free and premium

Some features are free to everyone and some are part of a premium subscription. Which is which is listed on the pricing page and shown in the app at the moment you reach one.

How a subscription is bought and by whom. Subscriptions are sold through Paddle, which acts as MERCHANT OF RECORD: Paddle is the seller to you, takes the payment, and accounts for any sales tax or VAT due where you are. Your contract for the payment is with them; this app never sees or stores card details. The charge appears on your card statement as LOGOSLEGA, our name abbreviated to the length card networks permit.

The current price, what it includes and any top-up packs are shown on the pricing page and in the checkout before you pay. Cancelling stops the next renewal and leaves the period you have paid for running to its end.

Three things can change, and they change at different moments. Being precise about this matters, because only the first of them is fixed for a period you have already paid for:

We may change what is free and what is premium. If something you are already paying for stops being included, we will say so in advance.

Try it first — refunds

Try the premium features free for 7 days before you pay anything. The trial includes an hour of recording, which is enough to fly with it and find out whether it earns its place. Everything free stays free afterwards whatever you decide, and never expires — the airport you are nearest to, your checklists, your notes, your files and the meters log.

Cancel at any point during the trial and you are charged nothing. Paddle also emails you before a renewal is taken, so there is always a moment to stop before money moves.

After that, all sales are final. We do not offer refunds. The trial exists precisely so the decision is made before you buy rather than after it, and the price is set on that basis.

Two things are not refunds and are not affected by any of the above. If a paid feature fails and takes credits with it, those credits are put back — that is a billing error being corrected, and you do not have to ask. And if you are charged twice for the same thing, the duplicate is returned.

Where the law says otherwise, the law wins. Some countries give consumers a statutory right to cancel a distance contract within a set period. Nothing here removes a right you have by law, and where this policy conflicts with one, that right applies instead.

Paddle is the merchant of record and processes every payment. As the seller to you, Paddle applies its own buyer terms and may issue a refund at its discretion regardless of this policy. Requests go to support@logoslegacy.com from the address on the account, or to Paddle directly; anything returned goes back to the card or account it came from.

9. Credits, metering and the ledger

Paid usage is metered in credits. A credit is a unit of account for this service — it is not money, not a currency, and not redeemable for cash. Each paid request records what it cost against your account: model usage from the provider's own figures, and transcription from the duration the app reports.

The ledger is append-only. Entries are never edited or deleted, and a correction is written as a further entry, so the history of an account is what actually happened to it. Balances are computed from those entries. Each entry records the credits it moved and any money that changed hands at the time it was written, so your history is never recomputed against a later price.

We may correct an account's balance where a request was billed in error, where a feature failed, or where usage was recorded incorrectly. Credits have no value outside this service, expire with the account, and are not transferable.

10. Administration

A small number of people operate this service and can see account records — your email address, sign-in provider, name where the provider supplies one, the roles on your account and your ledger. They can grant or end a role, adjust a balance, and suspend an account. Every one of those actions is recorded with who did it and when. They cannot see your transcripts, recordings, photographs, checklists or position: none of that is on the server. See the Privacy Policy.

11. Acceptable use

Do not use MyFlightHelper to:

12. Your content

Transcripts, recordings, meter logs, checklists, notes and the files you attach are yours. They are stored on your device, not on ours. We claim no rights over them.

You are responsible for what you attach. Do not attach anything you do not have the right to keep or use.

Because they are stored only on your device, losing or wiping the device loses them. Cloud backup, from Settings or at sign-out, writes a copy to your own Google Drive or OneDrive, into a folder belonging to your account. It carries your flights, transcripts, meter figures, checklists, notes, pinned airports, your meter photographs and your attached documents, so that signing in on another device gives you a working app rather than a list of what you used to have.

Two things are left behind. Recorded audio is never backed up — a three-hour flight is over 100 MB, so the transcript returns and the recording does not. And any single file larger than 5 MB stays on the device, because that is the largest a drive will accept in one upload; the app says when this happens rather than skipping it silently. Nothing is backed up automatically.

The first backup carries every document on the device and takes correspondingly longer — minutes rather than seconds, depending on how much you hold. The app says so while it runs and shows how far through it is. Later backups send only what has been added since.

A backup passes through our server on its way to your drive. The token that can write to your drive is held on the server and never given to the device, so the server makes the upload for you and can see the file while it does. No copy is written or kept here. The Privacy Policy sets this out in full; if you would rather nothing of yours passed through our server at all, do not turn cloud backup on.

13. Availability

Transcription, gauge reading, drafting, weather and charts depend on third-party services and on your connection, and will be unavailable at times. The app is designed so that airports, frequencies, runways and traffic patterns keep working offline; nothing else does.

We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of the service at any time, with or without notice, and no level of availability is promised.

14. Disclaimer of warranties

The app is provided as is and as available, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the data is accurate, current, complete or suitable for any flight operation, that the app will function without error or interruption, or that any figure, transcript, reading or checklist it presents is correct.

15. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Logos Legacy Venture LLC, its members, managers and contractors are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, aircraft, property, or life, arising from your use of or reliance on this app — including reliance on a transcript, a frequency, a pattern altitude, a weather product, a meter reading, or any checklist item however it was created. Our total aggregate liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, which for a free account is nothing.

Some jurisdictions do not allow these exclusions, in which case they apply only as far as the law permits. Nothing here excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud, where the law does not allow that exclusion.

16. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify Logos Legacy Venture LLC, its members, managers and contractors against claims arising from your use of the app, your recordings, your checklists, or your breach of these terms.

17. Changes

We may update these terms. The version number and date at the top of this page always identify what is current, and they are the way to tell whether anything has changed — the app does not display these terms or announce a change to them. Continuing to use the app after a change is acceptance of it. If we ever change something that materially reduces what a paid subscription includes, we will say so in advance as described in section 8.

18. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Missouri, United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
