Reminders are a convenience, not a guarantee. Do not rely on MyNotesHelper for anything where a missed reminder could cause harm: medication, legal or tax deadlines, court dates, or safety.
1. Who we are, and what this is
- MyNotesHelper is a personal note-keeping service: the website at
logoslegacy.com/MyNotesHelper, the app and the API. - It is provided by Logos Legacy Venture, LLC, a Missouri limited liability company, 1200 Lake St Louis Blvd #1056, Lake St Louis, MO 63367, United States, mail@logoslegacy.com ("we").
- By using it you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use it.
- It is a small service. There is no support team and no service-level commitment.
2. Your account
- You sign in with Google or Microsoft, and must be at least 16.
- One person per account. You are responsible for activity under your account.
- Signing in with two different providers creates two separate accounts.
- You may not use the service if you are in a country or region under comprehensive US sanctions, or if you are on a US sanctions list. We may refuse or close accounts to comply with US sanctions and export laws.
3. Your encryption key and recovery phrase
- When your account is set up, you are shown a twelve-word recovery phrase. Keep it safe: it is how you add a new device and how you recover your notes.
- We never have your phrase, and cannot recover it.
- If you lose every device, your phrase and your backup, your notes cannot be recovered by anyone.
- If you have lost your phrase and every device, you can reset your key from a signed-in session. The reset takes effect only after a waiting period shown in the app, and your devices are alerted during it. During that period, and afterwards if you do not respond, anyone who controls your sign-in account could do the same. Keep your Google or Microsoft account secure.
- Your backups carry your key, locked by your recovery phrase. If you choose readable backups, anyone who can open them can read your notes: see the Privacy Policy, section 4.
4. Your content stays yours
- Your notes are yours. We claim no ownership, and no right to publish, sell or use them for advertising or AI training.
- You give us only the permission needed to run the service at your
request. That covers:
- storing and sealing your notes;
- carrying them between your devices;
- receiving the notes you send by text, WhatsApp, email or API;
- sending the reminders you set;
- fetching pages you link to, for previews and summaries;
- when you use an AI feature, sending the content involved to our AI provider.
- That permission ends when you delete the content or your account, except as the Privacy Policy describes.
- We claim no rights in AI-generated text produced for you.
5. Back up your own notes
- The backup to your own Google Drive or OneDrive, or a file you keep, is the copy you can rely on.
- The service runs on shared hosting, with no redundancy and no guaranteed restore.
6. Reminders
Reminders are delivered on a best-effort basis. They may be late, repeated, or not arrive. This can be caused by your device, your settings, your carrier, a provider, or our host.
7. AI features
- The assistant, summaries and photo reading use an AI model from our provider (currently OpenAI). Reminder phrases you type are read on your device.
- They are off until you switch them on and accept the explanation shown. You can switch them off at any time.
- AI output can be wrong. Check anything that matters.
- The assistant can act on your notes when you ask it to: for example, create, edit, tag, pin, trash, set due dates or reminders. Each change comes with an Undo, and it never deletes anything permanently.
- A question about your whole library can send many notes and use more credits. The credits used are shown with each answer.
- AI features may be limited, changed or withdrawn.
8. Notes by text, WhatsApp and email
- Your carrier's charges are yours.
- Delivery is not guaranteed.
- Up to 200 items or 500 MB can wait on our server for your devices. Beyond that, new items are refused until a device collects what is waiting. Your own scripts and the API are told why; a message by text, WhatsApp or email is refused without a reply, so if notes stop arriving, open the app.
- Anyone who can send from a number or address you have linked can add notes to your account. Unlink a number or address you lose control of, and tell us.
- Carriers and messaging providers can see those messages before they reach us.
9. Plans, credits and payments
- Free and Premium. The features and prices are shown on our plans page, and are confirmed at checkout.
- Paddle is the seller. Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paid plans and credit packs are sold by Paddle under Paddle's Buyer Terms. Paddle handles payment, invoicing, taxes, cancellations and refund requests.
- Prices are in US dollars. Any applicable tax is added, and the final price is shown at checkout.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period, until cancelled. You can cancel at any time, through the link in the receipt Paddle emailed you, or Paddle's buyer portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have paid for.
- Free trial.
- Premium may be tried free for 7 days, and the trial includes a one-off allowance of credits shown on the plans page.
- One trial per account.
- We may refuse a trial to anyone who has already had one.
- Unless you cancel before it ends, it becomes a paid subscription, and you are charged on the date shown at checkout.
- Credits.
- Every new account receives a one-off starting allowance of free credits, shown on the plans page.
- Credits included in a subscription are granted at the start of each period, and expire at its end.
- Credits you buy do not expire while your account exists.
- All credits end when the account is deleted, and are not refunded, except where the law requires otherwise.
- Credits have no cash value.
- Refunds.
- A payment is refunded where the law of your country requires it, for example the 14-day right to withdraw that consumers in the EU, EEA and UK have, under the conditions for digital content and services set out in our Refund Policy. A payment is also refunded where these terms promise it (section 11).
- The free trial lets you try Premium before you pay. We do not offer a change-of-mind refund of our own.
- How to ask, and how Paddle decides, are in our Refund Policy.
- Your legal rights are not affected, including your remedies if the service is faulty.
- Reversed payments. If a payment is refunded or reversed, we may withdraw what it paid for (Premium time or credits).
10. Acceptable use
- Do not use MyNotesHelper for anything unlawful. Do not infringe others' rights.
- Do not attempt to access other users' data, overload the service, or probe it for weaknesses without our permission.
- The API is for your own tools. Do not resell the service, or use it at a volume that degrades it for others. We may apply reasonable rate limits.
11. Availability and changes to the service
- There is no uptime commitment. Features may be added, changed or removed.
- If we remove a paid feature you are paying for, we will tell you in advance. You may then cancel, and receive a proportionate refund of the unused period.
- If we close the service, we will give reasonable notice so you can take your data.
12. Other services we rely on
The service depends on these providers, whose own terms govern their services:
- Bluehost (hosting);
- Google and Microsoft (sign-in, and your backup in Google Drive or OneDrive);
- Twilio and Meta (messages);
- OpenAI (AI features);
- Paddle (payments).
13. Suspension and ending
- You may stop at any time, and delete your account in Settings.
- We may suspend or close an account for a serious or repeated breach of section 10, or where the law requires it.
- Where reasonable, we will tell you first, and give you a chance to take your notes.
14. Our responsibility
- We provide the service with reasonable care and skill, and as described.
- Beyond that, and to the extent the law allows, it is provided as it is and as available, and we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free.
- If you are a consumer, nothing in these terms limits the rights you have under the law of your country, including remedies for a faulty service.
15. Limitation of liability
- To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for:
- indirect or consequential loss;
- loss of profits;
- loss of data that a backup would have preserved (section 5);
- reminders that do not arrive (section 6).
- Otherwise, our total liability is limited to the greater of what you paid in the twelve months before the claim, or fifty US dollars.
- Nothing limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
16. If you use the service for business
If you use MyNotesHelper for a business, and a claim is brought against us because of your content or your breach of these terms, you will cover our reasonable costs of dealing with it. This section does not apply to consumers.
17. Changes to these terms
- We change the version and date when these terms change.
- We will tell you of a material change at least 30 days before it takes effect, in the app or by email to the address you sign in with.
- If you do not agree, you may stop using the service and delete your account before then. If you have a paid subscription, you may cancel, and receive a proportionate refund of the unused period.
18. Law and courts
- These terms are governed by the law of the State of Missouri, United States, and disputes go to the state or federal courts serving St. Charles County, Missouri.
- If you are a consumer living outside the United States, you also keep the protection of the mandatory law of your country, and you may bring proceedings in your country's courts.
